Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

 

Performs disassembly, overhaul and repair of parts, components and subsystems for in-service aircraft applications that are moderately complex to complex, requiring experience and judgment to determine plans and action from several standard procedural alternatives.  Adapts techniques and tools to meet special needs and serves as a technical resource to less experienced technicians.

 

Reads and interprets manufacturers’ and airline’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.

 

Reads and interprets plans, blueprints, sketches, Engineering Orders or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of removal, repair, replacement and installation of parts and components of mechanical aircraft subsystems.

 

Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects.  Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft operational mechanical systems, components and structures including rigging and plumbing.

 

Lays out and marks dimensions and reference lines on material to develop or back drill hole patterns for access doors, installation or replacement of sheet metal parts or other like applications.  Trims to fit, file, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothes surfaces.

 

Bolts, rivets, screws, clips, seal, or bonds component parts to assemble products.  Installs assemblies in supportive framework according to blueprints.  Inspects assemblies and installation for conformance to specifications.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

 

  • Experience as an aero-structure mechanic, bonder, or evaluator, or equivalent combination of education and experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment is required.
  • Read and interpret manufacturer’s specifications and overhaul manuals.
  • Read and comprehend engineering drawings and technical work instructions, and technical manuals issued by OEMs and customers.
  • Demonstrate competency in the use of standard assembler and mechanics hand tools, such as drill motors, rivet guns, bucking bars, die grinders, rivet squeeze, layout scales, scribes, center punches, templates, precision measuring instruments, cranes, hoists, work platforms, tooling jigs and fixtures.
  • Must be able to use small hand tools and machinery

Customer Service Representative

SUMMARY

 

The Repair CSR is responsible for processing orders, quotations, prepares correspondence and fulfills customer needs to ensure customer satisfaction.  Additionally, the Repair Administrator will answer some technical questions related to the product, provide service and information to customers on new and legacy product and repairs and administer a volume of repair orders from receiving to closing.

  • Requests lead time, cost, evaluation of work done by the Repair Shop and data to build the quote for non-priced materials or service and prepares and submits quotes to customer
  • Prepares, enters and follows-up orders to ensure good customer relations by meeting specified delivery dates
  • Receives, reviews, creates, and acknowledges customer purchase orders
  • Reviews orders prior to entering into system for correct pricing, order number and part number or description to ensure that all data entered are correct
  • Follows up on orders to inform customers when shipment happened
  • Conducts necessary customer contact and correspondence in a manner to establish and maintain optimum relations.
  • Reviews all orders terms and conditions submitted by customers in depth to protect the business interest of the Company
  • Supports Returned Material Authorization (RMA) Process
  • Responds to the customer via phone, fax, email, or in person the same day or not later than within the same business day of receiving their communication, i.e., request for quote, customer order, status of order, change request, etc.
  • Constantly monitors the backlog and pro-actively inform customers, with phone calls, of recovery plan and promise date of shipment. Written communication should follow after the phone call.
  • Prepares established or special customer status reports to management
  • Monitors and resolves customer owned units in quarantine

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Quality Inspectors for an opportunity in Rancho Cucamonga, CA

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Perform inspections of: 

  • FAI (first article inspection) of newly designed or revised products. 
  • Incoming products to ensure proper paperwork is received and parts conform to specifications, engineering and purchase order. 
  • In-process inspection of parts being manufactured. 
  • Sub-assemblies used in the construction of aircraft interiors. 
  • Final products prior to shipment.

Interpret and read engineering drawings, company and customer specifications to ensure accurate part manufacturing.

 

General Notes:

  • All employees have an affirmative duty to protect and maintain the confidentiality of C&D products. 
  • As business conditions change it is necessary that all employees productively react and handle other essential tasks as assigned now or in the future. 
  • Tasks may vary slightly based on products produced at division. 

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred or equivalent experience. 
  • Experience: 5+ years experience within the quality environment in aerospace. 
  • Computer Skill: Familiar with Windows Operating System®. 
  • Other Skills: Qualified candidate must posses’ ability to use precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other technical literature is preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 9102, FAI, and final assembly inspection.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Must be able to pass Mask Fit test. 
  • Must have a HS Dipoloma 
  • Must have experience with sanding parts, deburr and brake all sharp edges. 
  • Must have experience using Pneumatic grinders. 
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
