Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Support maintenance in activities of data entry, research, audit records and paperwork control.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Data entry input of routine maintenance paperwork packages for aircraft.
  • Generates MWO/NRC’s required by input of routine packages.
  • On completion of routine package input, verify all entries using computer and handwrite forms and make any corrections.
  • Responsible for security and accountability for copies of NRC’s, tallies and handwrites.
  • Set-up, maintain and up-date aircraft books and related files.
  • Responsible for typing, logging and faxing/mailing MRR/SDR report forms to customer reliability after receiving information for Quality Control on assigned aircraft when required by procedures.
  • Ensure ATS repair station records are accurately archived and maintained in the electronic record keeping system.
  • Responsible for uploading aircraft documents/records to customer computer system as customer requirements deem necessary.
  • Research aircraft repair parts using aircraft effectives within engineering orders, service bulletins, drawings, illustrated parts catalog, and technical data.
  • Assist maintenance personnel in locating references for repairs and fabrication.
  • Works with Production Support personnel to coordinate workscope changes during checks and modifications.
  • Update customer computer systems with appropriate information as required by each customer.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.

SUMMARY: Accurately receives, stores, issues, transfers and safely handles aircraft parts, standards, tools, equipment, kits and general supplies.  Responsible for meeting specific individual customer material handling requirements.  Provides flexible support to various areas within the Material group. Works under general supervision.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties include the following items: 

  • Provides timely customer service for aircraft parts to all internal and external customers.
  • Unloads and conveys materials onto pallets, vehicles, racks, and shelves by hand or with the use of appropriate equipment, including installation of strapping, bracing or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
  • Completes necessary computer and paperwork transactions, including customer computer entries (if required) and customer tag reviews, to correctly account for material movement.
  • Researches discrepancies to ensure prompt resolution and implements corrective action.
  • Distributes and conveys paperwork, material and parts to and from storage or work sites to designated areas.
  • Assists in expediting AOG parts from Receiving Inspection to final work area.
  • Processes material returns (RECAP) and customer off-unit shipping requests.
  • Assists customers with purchasing status.  Relay to mechanics and customers shipping information and confirm arrival of parts.
  • Runs reports for all shop work orders awaiting parts.
  • Assists in the inventory of customer and ATS parts and materials, including manifest preparation for parts assignments.
  • Performs daily housekeeping duties within area and helps maintain a safe working environment.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Support Material Coordinators as necessary.

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a direct hire Cost Engineer in Everett, WA.

 

Job Summary

 

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager, the Cost Engineer applies extensive knowledge of estimating processes to develop detailed and parametric cost estimates from Customer RFPs, engineering drawings, engineering work statement configuration memos and high-level statement of work.  This position supports marketing proposals, customer change requests and other costing projects such as working with engineering to help find ways to reduce product costs.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Provides comprehensive, detailed cost estimates (material cost, manufacturing labor hours, operations non-recurring costs/tooling costs and all related assumptions) for commercial aircraft interiors.  This position will require special emphasis on bidding interior monument programs such as closets, lavatories, partitions, stowage’s and other interior products.
  • Help generate Customer proposals by interpreting RFPs, generating product features, working with engineering to create product renderings and defining detailed levels of product offerings.  This position requires the ability to develop assumptions to help define work scope when RFPs are limited in detailed information.
  • Analyze LOPAs to identify areas where monuments are generally placed, identify dimensions and other features related to the various product relationships within the aircraft cabin.
  • Researches, analyzes and interprets historical data to support estimates and cost models.
  • Works closely with engineering to define and interpret statement of work and associated impacts to the operations department.
  • Works closely with manufacturing to understand manufacturing processes, material usages and labor requirements.
  • Researches detailed bill of materials to understand major cost drivers and analyze ways to reduce BOM costs.
  • Develops and maintains estimating tools, data and cost estimating models.
  • Assists cross-functional teams to track performance of cost estimates in order to refine future cost estimating relationships/models.
  • Serves as a consultant to upper management by presenting results of cost estimates and making recommendations for marketing proposals.
  • Assists engineering and operations by recommending design for cost methodologies and ease of manufacturability.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year College or University; and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience.
  • Cost estimation experience in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Able to read Engineering Drawings and create and analyze Bill of Materials.
