LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a supply Chain Management Expert for an opportunity in Nagoya,Japan.

The candidate will be responsible for suppliers’ performance and cost management and will act as a primary link and contact between suppliers, Procurement, Program Management Office (PMO) and Engineering Management Office (EMO).

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing suppliers’ performance, KPI definition, recovery plans and remedies against breaches
  • Responsible for preparing and implementing strategies for contractual and commercial negotiations with suppliers
  • Responsible for suppliers’ relationship management and coordination of program reviews
  • Responsible for preparing and implementing strategies to minimize aircraft Bill of Material (BOM) and Programs non-recurring costs
  • Responsible for internal coordination and reporting, by working closely with cross-functional leadership teams within various groups and with the procurement leadership teams
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities through value engineering activities, and implementation/development of new technologies
  • Ensure contracts are maintained and applied in accordance to our business requirements.
  • Create formal networks internally and externally

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or equivalent
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Supply Chain Management or Procurement in the aerospace industry
  • Strong negotiation experience; capable of establishing logical arguments and finalizing agreements
  • Strong capabilities in operational, commercial and financial management
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skillset
  • Proven experience in complex project management
  • Recognized for his/her leadership and innovation,
  • Experienced in managing complex engineering/technical projects
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology and interpretation of contracts
  • Familiar with aircraft design, configuration, certification and change management principles
  • Detail oriented, focused, rigorous and committed to meeting deadlines
  • Have a high proficiency and are a good communicator in English (written and spoken)
  • You have advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office environment with knowledge of MS Project.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • 10 years or more experience in an engineering airworthiness department in aerospace

  • University degree in Engineering or equivalent

  • conduct the management of airworthiness compliance programs

  • good understanding of Part 25, 91, 121 and 135 as well as similar EASA airworthiness requirements

  • good understanding of International Aerospace process

  • prepare and follow-up the technical documentation

  • carry out a regular reporting of the activities to the technical group leader

  • demonstrable ability to conduct audits

  • willing to work in Japan

     

    Key responsibilities

  • Conduct external scheduled and risk based audits and inspections.

  • Address adverse occurrences through the correct channels aiding continual improvement.

  • Conduct error investigations in accordance with company procedure when required

  • To be responsible for the preparation of data required

  • Very good knowledge of the English language (written, spoken, read)

Fire Protection Test & Analysis Engineer

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Fire Protection Test & Analysis Engineer for an opportunity in Nagoya, Japan. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • The primary work location will be in Nagoya, Japan. However, depending on the positions applying for, a successful candidate may be required to travel to Moses Lake (WA, USA) and other test sites and stay there where aircraft flight tests are performed on a long term basis.
  • Basic scope of work is to provide assurance of successful showing of compliance with relevant regulatory requirements in the Type Certification Application and Approval processes with regard to fire extinguishing and smoke detection.
  • The main duties and responsibilities of a successful candidate will include having overall responsibility for the planning of the required flight/ground test phases, working with the flight/ground test instrumentation engineers, preparing the maneuver-by-maneuver plan for each test flight or test on ground and develop/review test plans, test specifications and test reports

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 15 years of aviation related industry experience, or
  • 15-20 years in an aviation engineering organization; Aerospace or Aircraft Systems Engineering.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to demonstrate interpersonal and communication techniques
  • A good team player who can work in a team environment and coordinate with other engineers from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to identify potential issues in the course of Type Certification approval process.
  • Ability to adapt successfully to changing situations and environments
  • Ability to dealing with changing priorities and workloads
