Requirements:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • Must have 3-5 years experience within commercial aviation.
  • Must be able to read and write English and be able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals.
  • Must be able to document maintenance performed on required forms.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.

Responsibilities:

 

This position assists the GSE Engineers and includes the following duties:

  • Become familiar with Compnay aircraft and understand interface requirements with mobile and stationary equipment
  • Evaluate equipment characteristics with operators at airport facilities
  • Investigate equipment modification requests and review vendor responses (some day trips domestically may be required)
  • Develop and create ground support equipment drawings using AutoCad computer software
  • Write new equipment specifications and conduct service tests
  • Create mock-up modifications with GSE Maintenance groups
  • Generate Engineering Authorizations (EA) within EARTH (Documentum) software
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and User Groups worldwide to schedule EA’s respective to ground support equipment. This includes preparation and distribution of compliance cards and record keeping of EA compliance documentation.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in engineering or related technical field.

Under the direction of Production management, the Electrical Fabrication Technician Fabricates Electrical harnesses and assemblies and installs wiring used in the assembly and integration of aircraft parts and assemblies in accordance with Design Engineering instructions.

 

• Manufactures wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies with single or multiple breakout points as well as single or multiple termination points according to all applicable regulations and instructions including, FAR regulations as well as Delta, Boeing, and Airbus process and material specs.

• Installs wiring into interior monuments such as lavatories, galleys, and class dividers for aircraft installation.

• Operates Laser wire marker and printers to direct or indirectly mark electrical wiring, wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies.

• Uses precision tools, power supplies and test equipment to measure and perform operational testing of electrical harnesses and assemblies.

• Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, Test plans and work instructions.

• Works with energized AC and DC circuits according to all safety requirements

• Maintains traceability of all materials used during manufacturing and properly fills out paperwork to ensure compliance with all inspection and FAA requirements.

• Maintains equipment by completing instructed preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s and DFP instructions. Troubleshooting malfunctions and reporting to management for equipment repairs.

• Effectively work with co-workers, engineering and management in problem solving and exploring and implementing best practices in our operations

• Programs mills, router and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers and offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements including basic math (geometry, and trigonometry) proving part programs.

• Sets-up mills, Routers, lathes and grinders by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers. Indicating vices, machining fixtures and tramming machine heads.

• Verifies settings and programs by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces adhering to DFP standards.

• Maintains part specifications by observing machining operations.

• Monitors the feed and speed of machines during the machining process, taking measurements, detecting program error and malfunctions.

• Troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls.

• Adheres to DFP quality assurance procedures and processes specifications.

Qualifications:
The Aircraft Support Mechanic II position REQUIRES an A&P license. A high school diploma or equivalent is required as well as at least six (6) months of acceptable mechanical experience or appropriate technical training. Candidates who have graduated from high school with a vocational diploma or other diploma that includes a minimum of six (6) units of study (2-3 years) in a major vocational field will be considered. The acceptable vocational fields are: automotive, sheet metal and electrical/electronics. To be considered based on high school vocational qualifications, candidates must provide copies of their high school transcripts listing courses, grades and credits. Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems is required. Candidates must pass job related tests which are designed to determine aptitudes and abilities to perform essential job functions. Tests are administered based on Delta’s protocol and procedures. While this is not a comprehensive list, some tests will cover the ability to read electronic schematics, identify electronic components, discuss electronic circuit operation, and operate analog and digital. Any certifications in EPA refrigerants or experience are preferred. This position requires the ability to read and write English and the ability to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals. This position also requires candidates meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions including the ability to lift at least 70 pounds. Job Summary: 

Avionics is part of the Component Maintenance team within TechOps.  In this role, you will perform or assist in the disassembly, cleaning, repair, assembly, and testing of aircraft components to help ensure safe, on-time departures of Delta’s fleet of aircraft and the fleet of other companies who have selected Delta as their maintenance provider.  You will be expected to utilize appropriate tools, chemicals, and equipment safely to effectively and efficiently accomplish shop/aircraft related functions. You will be required to learn all maintenance utility processes and functions within the shop and be willing to help out where necessary. This requires that you be a team player and actively participate in identifying process improvements and cost savings initiatives. To be selected for this position, you must have a working knowledge, understanding, and familiarization with approved manuals and procedures. • Read and understand released engineering data to include parts lists, drawings, test plans and service bulletins.

• Maintain correct revision level of manufactured parts and parts lists.

• Ensure parts and installation kits are properly identified and labeled.

• Ensure proper certification paperwork is maintained with parts throughout kitting process.

• Perform work in a neat and organized manner within estimated or budgeted hours while maintaining high standards of quality.

• Operate necessary equipment for the packaging of parts and kits.

• Complete all required paperwork for kitting and certification.

• Safely operate forklifts (sit down and standup), pallet jacks and hand trucks.

• Perform all other duties assigned by Logistics Supervisor or Supply Chain Planning Manager.

Job Description:

  • Inspect, service, test, repair, remove and replace aircraft electrical instruments and electronic equipment, including: power system components, instrument systems, indicating and warning systems, aircraft automatic flight control systems, including auto-pilots, automatic flight stabilization, aircraft compasses and altitude reference systems, auxiliary power plants, airborne communication, navigation displays, etc.
  • Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Perform operational checks after maintenance is performed to ensure proper operation.
  • Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.

  • Perform maintenance IAW FAA approved technical data.
  • Research FAA technical data to locate applicable data relevant to assigned tasks.

Primary Requirements/Preferences:

Job Summary:

• Plans machining operation by studying work orders, engineering orthographic drawings, engineering work instructions, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters interpreting geometric Imperial, SI dimensions base on ANSI and ISO standards and tolerances (GD&T).

• Programs mills, router and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers and offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements including basic math (geometry, and trigonometry) proving part programs.

• Sets-up mills, Routers, lathes and grinders by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers. Indicating vices, machining fixtures and tramming machine heads.

• Verifies settings and programs by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces adhering to DFP standards.

• Maintains part specifications by observing machining operations.

• Monitors the feed and speed of machines during the machining process, taking measurements, detecting program error and malfunctions.

• Troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls.

Candidate must pass Avionics Evaluation Test administered by Avionics management that measures the ability to read electronic schematics, identify electronic components, discuss electronic circuit operation and operate analog and digital meters. Additionally, candidate must also be able to obtain IPC-7711/7721 soldering certification through Module 5 within 12 months of assignment. Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) experience required.  FCC license is required. Candidate must be able to read and write English and be able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals. Must be willing to work rotating or fixed shifts. Candidate must achieve a satisfactory score on the mechanical aptitude test which is structured to determine the ability to perform essential job functions. Interior Fabrication Technician

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Interior Fabricantion Technician for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Under the direction of Production management, the Interior Fabrication Technician will fabricate interior Aircraft parts and assemblies, in accordance with all applicable instructions and standards.

  • Under the direction of Production management, the Interior Fabrication Technician will Fabricate interior Aircraft parts and assemblies, in accordance with all applicable instructions and standards.
  • Manufacture aircraft parts and assemblies in accordance with released data.
  • Set up and use electric and pneumatic tooling
  • Properly use calibrated precision measuring equipment
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, engineering orders, test plans and work instructions.
  • Comply with lean manufacturing principals and work with leads and supervisors to implement best practices in the manufacturing process.
  • Work with engineers and management with problem solving production issues.
  • Set up and perform testing of interior components in accordance with released test plans.
  • Be prepared to cross train and be utilized in other aspects in the production process.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to DFP safety procedures and regulations. 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Minimum/basic skills & qualifications an individual qualified for this position should possess. MUST have previous work experience fabricating composite panels used in aircraft cabin interiors. PLEASE NOTE: experience repairing or installing panels is not the experience we need.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing and independently following work instructions
  • Must be able to read and understand Delta, Boeing and Airbus process and material specifications.
  • Must be able to use precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience with MS Office products preferred
  • High level of manual dexterity and detail orientation 
  • Able to manufacture aircraft interior parts and assemblies in accordance with released data.
  • Good oral and writtten communication skills; able to read, comprehend, and create written and verbal instructions in the English language.
  • Maintains safe operations be adhering to DFP safety procedures and regulations.
  • Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
