Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Assembly Technician performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and airborne illumination system, equipment and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.

  • Perform the processes necessary for the fabrication and production of Solar Cells, including Photolithography, Cap Etch/Window Clean, Thinning, Lift-Off, Evaporation, Sinter, Saw-Dice, Lot Code, Classify & Test and Silicon Diodes.
  • Perform the processes necessary for growth of semiconductors, including operation of MOCVD vacuum system, Metal Organic material handling, X-ray Diffractometer,
  • Assembles electronic and optical components in a variety of packages such as TO-can packages, ceramic substrates, and fiber pigtailed packages Test die, Headers Caps, Mark Caps, Solder Pin, Soldering wire assembles, and Wire Bonding.
  • Performs rework, repair and modification to parts and assemblies. Test optical components using lasers and other optical sources.

  • One or more year’s experience in aerospace assembly and fabrication

Diesel Mechanic Qualified

Diesel Mechanic

 

LAUNCH TransTechs is a seeking diesel mechanic to perform intermediate level repair and maintenance of company tractors, trailers, and equipment through proper diagnostics, troubleshooting, and use of tools with minimum assistance.

 

Shift: Shop Hours 7 AM to 7 PM  Tuesday-Saturday 

Pay: $22.00 – $30.50 per hour, depending on experience

  • Holiday pay

Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections as specified, using mechanics’ hand tools and variety of shop equipment, which may include refrigeration, hydraulic jacks or hoists, welding and air pressure equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and perform mechanical repairs and adjustments: lift-gate, PTO, emissions, air conditioning/heating, cab, brakes, frame, steering, suspension, tires, drive train, electrical system, engine system, trailer, refrigeration, cryogenic trailers and pumping equipment, live floor trailers, and other components which may need repair with minimal assistance.
  • Complete work orders, charge parts, time cards, and other required documents using computer, manuals, parts book, and maintenance codes.
  • Wash equipment as needed.
  • Drive service vehicle to pick up parts from outside vendors and respond to road calls, based on the operational needs per location.
  • Attend all safety required meetings and perform all work as per OSHA, State and Federal guide lines.
  • May assist in communication with outside vendors, customers and management to ensure proper work flow, sourcing of outside parts/labor estimates, and status of units within the shop.
  • Use and understand service manuals (paper and on-line) for reference, procedures, wiring schematics and torque specs.
  • Use diagnostic computer or read and clear fault codes to diagnose and make efficient repairs following troubleshooting trees.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements For A Qualified Diesel Mechanic:

  • Must have own tools.
  • Must have steel toe boots.
  • Must be able to pass CRIM & DMV Checks.
  • CDL, preferred but not required.
  • Equivalent of high school diploma or GED and 1-year minimum full-time experience in a commercial or fleet maintenance and repair shop.
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) heavy truck series certifications including ASE Master Truck Technician status a huge plus!
  • DOT brake certification and DOT Inspections experience a plus!

Machinist/Grinder is responsible for efficiently machining precision parts in accordance to blueprints/drawings and manufacturing outline requirements, which meet all customer and site specifications.   • Set up and operate conventional grinder, including internal and outside diameter (I.D & O.D.) cylindrical, centerless, and surface grinders (i.e. Crystal Lake, Okamoto, Nippei, Harig, etc.)
  • Use precision measuring equipment such as internal and external micrometers, gage blocks, dial indicators, air gages and optical comparators.
  • Mount dress and true a suitable type, size, and grade of grinding wheel to achieve blueprint requirements.
  • Grind to a tolerance of ± .0001
  • Set-up, use tooling fixtures and arbors to run parts with minimum supervision and yield on 1st piece.
  • Complete all required documentation such as time cards, work orders, preventive maintenance logs, etc.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or tasks for other work centers as requested in order to accommodate customer requirements and workflow within the plant.
  • Actively participate in work center and cross-functional process improvement teams.
  • Follow all work center and site production, administration, and safety policy procedures, including work schedule and overtime requirements.

Aircraft Welder/Thermal Spray Technician is responsible for using TIG and GTAW welding techniques to weld various components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.

  • Performing any combination of duties to assist in welding, brazing, and thermal and arc spraying.
  • Moving work pieces, tools, and supplies, manually or by hand truck.
  • Lifting, moving, and holding or clamping work pieces to table, into jigs, or into position manually or by using pry bar.
  • Bench, peen, roll, forge, stretch/shrink to restore dimensional sand structural integrity on various engine hardware.
  • Use file, bench grinders, hand grinders, etc., to perform welding preparation, defect removal and manual dimensional restoration.
  • Perform layout, set-up and weld on a variety of aircraft engine component parts and assemblies.
  • Use argon chambers and gas back-ups.
  • Manually applies filler rod to supply weld metal.
  • Examines weld for bead size and other specifications.
  • Responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions
  • Follow written technical plans and instructions to apply thermal spray coatings.
  • Proficient with the use of coating processes utilizing Plasma/Thermal/Flame Spray equipment.
  • Operate surface prep equipment to clean and prepare the surface of materials and components.
  • Set up and operate various types of manual, semi-automatic and/or robotic spray systems to apply coatings to parts.
  • Sets bake/cure oven controls for correct temperature and records time on process charts.
  • Cleans and maintains spray/coating equipment, fixtures and blast cabinets.
  • Participates in continuous improvement of cell processes.
  • Ability to cross train in other complementary skills and seeks endorsements for those skills as needed to support production requirements.
  • Move between production assignments that utilize multiple skills endorsements as needed to support production requirements.
  • Participates in the cross training of other technicians as needed to support production requirements.
  • Operator prepares necessary documents and confirms quality of own work using inspection tools in accordance with product specifications, drawings, and work instructions.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • 2+ years verifiable industrial weld/thermal spray experience
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to work in area where there is moderate noise intensity
  • Ability and willingness to work in an area where due to normal machining operations there may be dust, fumes or smoke (not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels)
  • Ability to have a flexible schedule.
  • Proficiency in the fabrication of heat sinks and related items for performing individual weld operations.
  • GTAW or equivalent schooling for GTAW certificates.
  • Must be able to certify for Nadcap and GTAW requirements within 45 days after placement and complete timely periodic certifications thereafter.
  • Must be able to read/write English.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform maintenance on components received by the repair station including; disassembly,
    cleaning, inspection, repair/overhaul, assembly testing, composite repairs, and sheet metal
    repairs.
  • Document maintenance completed in accordance with federal regulations, repair station rules
    and specifications
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area
  • Must use, wear and enforce required PPE within assigned production work area
  • Operate required machinery and equipment in a proper manner following established safety
    rules
  • Read, understand and adhere to SDS guidelines

Qualifications:

  • General knowledge in the use of inspection tooling and basic hand tools required in the course
    of work including but not limited to the following; torque wrenches, micrometers, dial indicators,

  • General knowledge of composite repair techniques including but not limited to the following;

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Aircraft Support Mechanics with experience performing minor maintenance and repairs on commercial aircraft for an opportunity in Los Angeles, CA.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Aircraft Support Mechanics will perform various tasks that assist mechanics in technical functions related to aircraft seat checks, interior component changes in bins and galleys, installing and repairing carpeting, and blankets on commercial aircraft in compliance with policies, manuals, procedures and requirements.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Plasma, HVDF, Cold spray, Thermal spray, High pressure water stripping experience preferred but not required.
  • Must have at least 6 months of acceptable mechanical or 6 units/2-3 years vocational school experience (automotive, sheet metal or electrical/electronics).
  • Must possess basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems.
  • Must have the minimum tools as required.
  • Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have a valid drivers license.
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, audiogram and background check.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Avionics experience is preferred, but not required.
  • A minimum of one license is required (Airframe or Powerplant) along with the ability to secure the second license within 12 months of employment.
  • Must possess basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic disciplines as they apply to aircraft systems.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure.
  • Must have the minimum tools as required.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Component Technicians will perform technical and mechanical functions pertaining to the aircraft component overhaul process commercial aircraft in compliance with policies, manuals, procedures and requirements.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • High School Education or equivalent
  •  Six months prior manufacturing/production experience and ability to attain required operating certifications
  • Use of basic small tools including measuring instruments such as; calipers, micrometers, and torque wrenches.
  • Must have the ability to multitask.
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must be able to articulate and understand verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Must be able to work in a high pace environment and work extended hours as needed, including Saturdays
