Responsibilities: 
Under the direction of the Logistics Supervisor, the Shipping/ Receiving Clerk will ensure raw materials, aircraft parts and assemblies received or shipped have the proper certification and align with the PO requirements. Experienced in various shipping applications and able to obtain IATA/CFR 49 Haz Mat certification.

• Utilizes ERP Operating Systems for all shipping and receiving transactions

• Properly packs goods and products for shipment

• Loads and unloads trucks as goods are being delivered or shipped

• Insures that all required certification paperwork required for the receiving and shipment of inventory (i.e. C of C, 8130-3, MSDS, etc.) is completed and processed correctly

• Maintain Paperwork/traceability of all incoming material and ensure all documents are properly stored in the document storage area.

• Comply with the requirements of IATA/CFR 49 Haz Mat certification and insure proper handling and documentation of Hazardous Material and Shelf life items.

• Safely operate Forklifts and other powered trucks in a warehouse environment

• Utilize shipping applications (FedEx, UPS, etc.) for shipping transactions

• Complete all shipping documentation and labeling in compliance with applicable standards and work instructions

• Pick up and deliver parts to outside suppliers using company vehicle

• Perform all other duties assigned by Logistics Supervisor or Supply Chain Planning Manager.

Responsibilities: 
Under the direction of production management, the skilled Sheet Metal Technician will perform a variety of assigned tasks involved in the production or repair of precision Aircraft parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurement tools.

 

• Utilizing work orders, engineering drawings, and work instructions plans appropriate manufacturing operation for the production and repair of precision Aircraft parts according to all DFP process specifications and standards.

• Programs and sets-up relevant machine tools and fixtures, including Press Brakes, Cutoff Shears, and Roller/Benders

• Calculates requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry proving part programs and flat patterns.

• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces and adhering to DFP process specifications and standards.

• Maintains part specifications by observing manufacturing operations. Monitors the feed and speed of machines during the manufacturing process. Takes measurements, detects setup errors and malfunctions.

• Utilizes troubleshooting processes, adjusts and reprograms controls and settings.

• Sharpens and replaces worn tools.

• Maintains equipment by completing instructed preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s and DFP instructions. Troubleshooting malfunctions and reporting to management for equipment repairs.

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to DFP safety procedures and regulations. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Responsible for planning, data mining, designing, and implementing solutions to track, monitor and identify data issues and propose solutions through high volume processes.

• Manufactures wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies with single or multiple breakout points as well as single or multiple termination points according to all applicable regulations and instructions including, FAR regulations as well as Delta, Boeing, and Airbus process and material specs.

• Installs wiring into interior monuments such as lavatories, galleys, and class dividers for aircraft installation.

• Operates Laser wire marker and printers to direct or indirectly mark electrical wiring, wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies.

• Uses precision tools, power supplies and test equipment to measure and perform operational testing of electrical harnesses and assemblies.

• Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, Test plans and work instructions.

• Works with energized AC and DC circuits according to all safety requirements

• Maintains traceability of all materials used during manufacturing and properly fills out paperwork to ensure compliance with all inspection and FAA requirements.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

A&P Mechanics perform a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions such as removal and installations of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical components, and control systems to assure conformance to procedures, performances and test specifications.

  • Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment.
  • Store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and JSAs when operating ground support equipment, such as power supply, hydraulic rigs, nitrogen filler carts, and oxygen service carts.
  • Operate and supervise use of special support equipment used in removal and installations of major components.
  • Coordinate movement of aircraft as required.
  • Assist in training new employees concerning computerized maintenance program (CMP) maintenance manuals, SRMs illustrated parts catalog (IPC) usage, flight test installations, and all maintenance of major components.
  • Coordinate with other departments to arrange for the overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.
  • Use the material tracking system to create parts demand and to charge labor to correct work orders and item numbers.
  • Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered.
  • Properly collect and dispose of waste fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags.
  • Implement and apply Lean/continuous improvement processes to all areas of responsibility.
  • Properly use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment. Return items to designated storage area after use.
  • In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • 2 years Aviation Maintenance experience to include 3 years of experience working on mid/large size aircraft required.
  • Corporate aircraft experience preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic Certificate required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems within each aircraft product line.
  • Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).

• Installs wiring into interior monuments such as lavatories, galleys, and class dividers for aircraft installation.

• Operates Laser wire marker and printers to direct or indirectly mark electrical wiring, wiring harnesses and electrical assemblies.

• Uses precision tools, power supplies and test equipment to measure and perform operational testing of electrical harnesses and assemblies.

• Reads and interprets wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, Test plans and work instructions.

• Works with energized AC and DC circuits according to all safety requirements

• Maintains traceability of all materials used during manufacturing and properly fills out paperwork to ensure compliance with all inspection and FAA requirements.

• Maintains equipment by completing instructed preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s and DFP instructions. Troubleshooting malfunctions and reporting to management for equipment repairs.

  • Safely operate shop equipment such as: brakes, presses, riveting equipment, shears, and hand tools associated with sheetmetal functions. Use the proper hardware for various sheetmetal applications.
  • Comply with all safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies. Uses personal protective equipment as required. Ensures aircraft is protected (PTP).
  • Conduct monthly 5S audits, as required.
  • Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work. 10. Assist in developing initiatives to meet individual OGSM requirements, as required.
  • Work closely with lead to develop and implement process improvements that increase safety, reduce cost, cycle time, and man hours.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities (e.g. YIAW, Kaizen events, etc.)
  • Coordinate with other disciplines concerning projects.
  • Perform Lead responsibilities, as required.

Candidate must have at least two years of bench avionics/electronics component repair experience or a minimum of 21 months of academic training specializing in avionics/electronics component repair. Candidate must pass Avionics Evaluation Test administered by Avionics management that measures the ability to read electronic schematics, identify electronic components, discuss electronic circuit operation and operate analog and digital meters. Additionally, candidate must also be able to obtain IPC-7711/7721 soldering certification through Module 5 within 12 months of assignment. Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) experience required.  FCC license is required. Candidate must be able to read and write English and be able to comprehend and apply information contained in technical manuals. Must be willing to work rotating or fixed shifts. Candidate must achieve a satisfactory score on the mechanical aptitude test which is structured to determine the ability to perform essential job functions. Should be able to meet the physical requirements which qualify a person to perform essential job functions including the ability to lift up to 70 pounds.  As required by the FAA for all persons in safety-sensitive positions, candidates selected for this position are required to pass an extensive background check, drug test, and hearing test.   • Rivet structural assemblies and parts using all tools required to do the job (e.g. portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, rivets).
  • Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations, type size and hole pattern for rivets.
  • Check all work and ensure a defective free assembly prior to final inspection.
  • Maintain and use all logs and records (e.g. MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs).

Quality Control Inspector Qualifications and requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year quality inspection experience or 2 years GAC manufacturing experience
  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience or equialent aerospace experience preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of GAC CATIA or blueprint reading and interpretation, GAC work instructions, technical specifications and GAC QA Manual.
  • Highly proficient in the use of all job related tools and equipment.

  • Assist in make-or-buy proposals and recommend corrective actions for areas of responsibility; evaluate vendors, attend vendor negotiations, and assist in resolving vendor problems.
  • Conduct research, investigation, and analysis in connection with assigned planning or other assigned projects, to ensure conformance to requirements.
  • Investigate and assist in preparing justification for equipment and facility requests.
  • Perform productibility studies from engineering drawings to identify opportunities to enhance manufacturing ability to meet requirements. Participate in Design for Manufacturing assessments with Engineering.
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential; make necessary computer inputs and generate data or reports as needed.
  • Perform audit of co-workers output based on defined requirements and procedures. Must demonstrate knowledge of ME policies and procedures.
  • Incorporate Lean Manufacturing Methodology into existing and future processes.
  • With minimal supervision, lead/coordinate the implementation of projects between multiple organizations.
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to manufacturing methods as a team member or leader.
  • Support all Safety, Sustainability and Ergonomic Initiatives.
  • Aid in development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plan. 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Required Experience with ERP or Manufacturing Planning Software and Microsoft Office Software.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related curriculum required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Eighteen months Manufacturing Engineering, planning, or related technical experience. 
  • Proven knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles.
  • Must be knowledgeable about Engineering configuration requirements, tooling, quality control, plant safety, blueprint reading, and shop math.
  • Ability to operate computerized equipment, such as personal computers, CADAM, CATIA, Solumina, SAP, Corridor.
  • Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification or higher preferred.
  • Three (3) years aerospace/aviation experience or equivalent mechanical experience such as auto mechanics, heavy equipment, etc.

  • Minimum/basic skills & qualifications an individual qualified for this position should possess. MUST have previous work experience fabricating composite panels used in aircraft cabin interiors. PLEASE NOTE: experience repairing or installing panels is not the experience we need.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
  • Previous work experience in manufacturing and independently following work instructions
  • Must be able to read and understand Delta, Boeing and Airbus process and material specifications.
  • Must be able to use precision measuring equipment.
  • Experience with MS Office products preferred

LAUNCH TransTechs is seeking an experinced Reefer Technician for an opportunity in Lake City, GA repairing refrigeration units.

 

Pay: $18.00 – $30.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: M – F Must be flexible

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and performs repairs on refrigeration units within the applicable standard repair time allowance.
  • Understands and completes various shop paperwork including time reports and work order reports.
  • Participates in keeping shop area clean at all times.
  • Properly maintains and interprets various product/service information; including parts manuals, service manuals and product support bulletins.
  • Successfully completes all required training courses from required regulatory training.
  • Performs work in accordance to all published safety standards.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3+ years of related experience on trailer maintenance and repair.
  • Refrigeration Universal 608/609 certification a huge plus!
  • ASE certificates preferred but not required.
  • Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience preferred.
