2nd Shift Amada Press Brake Operator

 

We are currently looking to hire a full time Amada press brake operator on our 2nd shift in Schiller Park, IL. This position pays up to 25/hour to start and can interview and start ASAP!

 

Any candidate with 2+ years of set-up and operation of any type of press brake can perform this role. It is a big plus if the candidate has worked on Amada or done editing of programs at the machine. 

 

Job Duties

  • Read, interpret and understand blueprints and drawings including symbols, welding symbols, and material type.
  • Plan sequence and methods of fabricating by studying work orders, blueprints and drawings.
  • Lay-out and mark dimensions and reference lines on material to develop and trace patterns of product or parts.
  • Properly set up and operate Amada Press Brake to fabricate parts, components, and sheet metal per blueprints and drawings.
  • Select operation sequences and correct punch / die combination based on drawing.
  • Make Press Brake adjustments as required.
  • Utilize AMADA Teach Pad (FabriTalk) to edit and program Press Brake.
  • Verify conformance of fabricated sheet metal to specifications utilizing measuring devices such as tape measure, caliper, OD micrometer, radius gauge, machinist square and/or protractor and make corrections as required.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Must be able to read, interpret and understand blueprints to fabricate sheet metal.
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing AMADA Teach Pad (FabriTalk) to edit and program preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years related experience preferred.

2nd Shift Manual Milling Machinist

2nd Shift Manual Milling Machinist

 

We are currently looking to hire a full time manual mill machinist on our 2nd shift in Schiller Park, IL. This position pays up to 25/hour to start and can interview and start ASAP!

 

Any candidate with 2+ years of manual milling experience that can perform set-ups and change overs can do this role. It is a huge plus if candidates can edit programs. They will be working on a bridgeport manual mill that has proto trac MX2 controls. The proto trac experience is not needed, but a huge plus.

 

Job Duties

  • Read, interpret and understand blueprints and drawings including symbols, welding symbols, material type and material shape.
  • Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, drawings, specifications, materials, machining parameters, and interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform basic machining math including fractional / decimal conversion, basic trigonometry (sin, cos), calculating dimensions and tolerances and determining missing linear or angular dimensions.
  • Properly set up and operate Manual Mill and machine parts/components to the required specifications.
  • Properly utilize machining tools such as high speed end mill, carbide end mill, high speed drill, carbide drill, high speed tap, roll forming tap, right angle attachments and reaming.
  • Edit and program Bridgeport Manual Mill using Proto Trac MX2 Controls.
  • Plan and perform a wide variety of diversified close tolerance milling operations.
  • Select appropriate speeds, feeds and tooling for operations.
  • Lift and position workpiece on machine table and secure it.
  • Verify alignment of workpiece.
  • Verify conformance of machined workpiece to specifications using measuring devices.
  • Maintain safe operations by adhering to company safety procedures and policies.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance as required following manufacturer’s instructions.

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS

  • Ability to read blueprints and machine components from them
  • Experience editing and/or programming with Proto Trac MX2 Controls a plus
  • Solid knowledge of material shapes and types
  • Background and experience in a production environment performing multiple setups and changeovers

Any candidate with 2+ years of CNC mill set-up and operation experience can perform this role. Candidates must also be able to edit programs at the machine, but DO NOT need to program off-line. Candidates will be working on a HAAS CNC Mill.
