LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for an opportunity in Albany, Georgia.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Applies mechanical engineering principles to design, to enhance and evaluate complex components and/or systems for new and existing products. Be involved in testing and writing technical reports.

Qualifications and requirements:

BS degree in either Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
Minimum 5 years engineering & design experience with aircraft components.
Proficient in SolidWorks 3D CAD design tools and principals
Self-motivated with ability to handle assignments under minimum supervision.
Knowledge of Structural analysis.
Familiar with and/or willingness to learn engineering principles of other engineering fields.
Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Require Knowledge and experience with products that are required to meet FAA standards.
SolidWorks 3D CAD (Min. V.2016 – Current) – Certified Professional preferred
Designs Aircraft Structural components – Primary and Secondary Structure
Must have experience with Engineering Change Processes such as Drawing Change Request, Engineering Change Request, Engineering Change Notice, etc.
Must have a complete understanding of ASME Y14.5 2009 and possesses a working knowledge in the use of GD&T
Interfaces with other departments to resolve questions and technical issues.
