JOB TITLE: Flight Readiness B, Flightline Mechanic B787 program
SITE LOCATION: 375 Airlift Dr San Antonio Texas 78226 United States

COMPLIANCE DEADLINE: Monday before Monday training class
START DATES: TBD once candidate clears Launch compliance and is Onboarded by Monument
TRAVEL: possible travel work at Boeing CHS. Would go through Boeing credit card training and be issued a card for expenses
Training classes - every other Monday, next 2/09/26
REPORTING INSTRUCTIONS: will be provided the Monday before their Monday scheduled date. They will now be required to badge (unpaid) on Mon/Tues before their Monday start. Ensure they are ready to show up with photo ID and original unexpired ITAR document in hand (no copies)

COMPENSATION / SCHEDULE
Weekly Pay: 840 taxable
ST: 46
OT: 69
PD: LOCAL
TRAINING: Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment – OJT or formal classroom training
BONUS: NO
WORK SCHEDULE: must be available for any shift
OVERTIME: not expected
DURATION: 12 months

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION

**3/4/26 - manager would like focus on electrical/avionics candidates, mechanical manufacturing just a plus!
• Ability to work a variable shift.
• 6 months of avionics and/or electrical experience.
• 6 months experience with live aircraft systems and flight operations.
• 6 months experience/knowledge with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
• 3 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant license.
• 6 months of Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience.
• 6 months of 787 Program experience.
• Familiar with Boeing Production System.
• 6 months experience with Field/Flight Line Operations.

Week 1 – Responsibilities / Expectations / Culture / Environment

  • Paying attention during orientation so they understand importance of clocking hours timely/correctly, having good attendance, and understanding Boeing facility guidelines
  • Successful completion of training is a contingency for this assignment – OJT or formal classroom training
  • Unique Pay Period - Boeing’s pay period runs Friday-Thursday. LAUNCH pay period M-F (we pay on Fridays)

JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will provide critical production support to the San Antonio 787's including improving production efficiency, safety and optimizing product quality.
Qualified candidates will perform routine component installation and verification, as well as, systems operational functional validation testing.

Flight Readiness Technicians perform rework, modification, maintenance, preflight and post-flight checks for delivery.
• Performs flight test installations and aircraft functional testing.
• Assists in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and avionics systems to isolate mechanical and/or electrical/electronic faults and assists in repairing faulty components.
• Assists with pre-flight and post-flight checks and performs maintenance and modification actions.
• Resolves identified problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.
• Verifies the accuracy of work performed.
• Assists in performing system & sub-system pre-delivery inspections and aircraft maintenance in preparation for delivery.
• Participates in determining details of assignments to accomplish a wide range of objectives.
• Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.
• Exhibits Boeing Behaviors.
