1st Shift VMC Machinist
We are currently looking to hire a full time VMC Machinist for our manufacturing facility in Addison, IL. The position pays 23/hour to start and can interview and start ASAP.
Shift: 1st Monday to Friday 6am-4pm+OT
Summary: Set up and operate all jobs in department with some assistance. Other duties may be assigned.
Reads process sheets, job folders, blueprints, and work instructions of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
Maintain job folder integrity.
Minor troubleshooting ability for nonconforming processes.
Selects and installs preset tooling in machine in sequence specified on process sheet.
Maintain a low level of scrap.
Ability to write minor machining programs.
Inspects first run piece with some assistance and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications.
Studies job packet and organizes materials for next run.
Sets up and operates another machine with some assistance.
Report perishable tooling replacement requirements.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Education and/or Experience
Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to apply concepts of advanced algebra, trigonometry and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Other Skills and Abilities
Mid level blue print reading. Ability to set-up and operate most machines in department with assistance. Entry level skills set to program and make machine adjustments. Must possess a mid level of gauging and inspection knowledge. Basic knowledge with Fanuc, Haas and Okuma OSP controls. Basic understanding of Geometric Tolerance. Basic understand G and M codes. Operate two machines at a time when possible. Ability to problem solve minor machining issues.
