Services Support Engineer/Technician

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Service Support Engineer/Technician for an opportunity in Everett, WA. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Services Support Technician shall be proficient in the writing, editing, revising and standardization of aircraft technical data within customer specific aircraft maintenance management systems.

 

  • Position is the primary Engineering focal for data entry into the customer specific aircraft maintenance management software.

  • Create and modify aircraft parts within the maintenance management system using

    Aircraft IPC, Vendor CMM, SB, SIL, Drawings and other technical documents

  • Provide technical writing capability in Boeing Toolbox and XML editing software;

  • customer maintenance software (i.e. TRAX), and continued engineering documentation.

  • Prepare presentations and work with the Engineering team in presenting to both internal

    and external (i.e. customer) audiences.

  • Assist in the review of Engineering Orders and drawings/data to identify what revisions

    to technical publications are required.

  • Coordinate with maintenance, engineering, or planning departments to research required

    changes and ensure the accuracy of the changes to technical publications.

  • Utilize consistent format for technical publication supplements, work orders, and

    drawings through editing and standardizing of material prepared by ATS and other

    contributors.

  • Assist Engineering team with historical research for Engineering Service Requests.

  • Report Customer and Maintenance priorities / new developments to the ATS Engineering

    Leads & Management that will affect aircraft span and/or team work load.

  • Coordinate and assist in implementing new policies and procedures within the Engineering department to help improve efficiency.

  • Aid in the construction and implementation of department processes and procedures.

  • Interact in a professional manner with members of internal and external organizations.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

 

  • Ability to assemble various documents using data provided by engineers, customers, vendors, etc. in a standard format.

  • Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Good communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Strong PC skills will include e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, communications, and operating systems.

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical functions.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in

    written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized

    situations.

  • Experience with aircraft technical publications and document publishing systems

    desirable. (Adobe Framemaker and illustration editing experience particularly desirable).

  • Familiarity with ATA iSpec 2200 (specification for preparing technical documentation in

    support of aircraft maintenance).

  • Highly proficient in use of aircraft maintenance management software (i.e. TRAX,

    Wizard, etc.)

  • Ability to understand information from Structural Repair Manuals (SRMs), Aircraft

    Maintenance Manuals (AMMs), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPCs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and other aircraft reference materials.

  • High school diploma and six years of experience specifically related to job requirements. Additional related higher education is desirable.
