LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Production Assemblers 1 for an opportunity in Tucson, AZ. 

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

The Production Assembler I performs a range of routine mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations, under well-defined instructions and in accordance with company policy and safety procedures.

  • Use electric soldering equipment to the IPC-A-610B, Class 3 standard.
  • Cut, prepare and pre-tin wires.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Ability to record and enter data into an excel spread sheet, and communicate via e-mail and Microsoft word
  • Apply conformal coat, marking and adhesive bonding.
  • Prepare batteries.
  • Use hand tools and power tools.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Complete work according to instructions, specifications and procedures, under direct supervision
  • Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by supervisor.
  • Complete work under limited supervision.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation.
  • Maintain an acceptable attendance record.
  • Maintain an acceptable safety record.
  • Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Assist other departments with job duties and tasks, as needed.
  • Complete additional job duties and tasks as assigned and instructed by supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

  • Approximately 90% sitting and 10% standing/walking about in-door Company facilities.
  • Lift and Carry up to 30 lbs.
  • Use hand tools, power tools and electric soldering gun.
  • Use head and neck in static position, looking up/down and side-to-side.
  • Perform major hand grasping and fine finger manipulations using both hands.
  • Perform light lifting from floor, table and shelf.
  • Push and pull carts or mobile tables, loaded and unloaded.
  • Minimal: heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling.
  • Minimal: exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces.

    Job Specifications
    Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.


    Years Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience

    Skills:

    Good mechanical aptitude
    Able to operate a variety of hand tools and light machinery
    Capable of performing basic mathematics
    Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedure
    Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
    Able to problem-solve using existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks
    Effective oral, written and interpersonal skills

 

Education:

A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations is preferred.

Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field Years Experience:

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience
  • Must have mechanical and/or electromechanical assembly operations experience • Able to operate a variety of hand tools and machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret company documents, such as safety rules, operating/manufacturing instructions, policies and procedures
  • Good manual dexterity required to work with small parts
  • Capable of recognizing and solving typical problems that can occur in own work area; evaluates and selects solutions from established options
  • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
