Engine Service Technician

LAUNCH TransTechs Engine Service Technician in Sun Prairie, WI to be responsible for inspection and repair of equipment, as well as working on heavy duty off-highway equipment.

Pay: $18.00 - $26.50 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: M - F, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm

Job Duties and Responsbibilites:

• Routine and preventative maintenance to prevent failures from reoccurring on heavy duty off-highway equipment.
• Effectively read and interpret electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hydraulic and electrical systems. 
• Perform all scheduled PM inspections of chassis, hydraulic, electrical, air and water systems.  
• Diagnose mechanical problems on suspensions, brake systems, hydraulic systems, tires and wheels.  
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & 3+ years of related truck or heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have own steel toe boots.
• ASE certificate preferred.
• Welding and/or fabrication skills and/or experience.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check. 

Working Conditions: 

Shop, office, yard, vehicle environment, may require lifting of 20 to 50 lbs., at least once a day.
