Fleet Manager

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Fleet Manager with Regional Jet experience for an opportunity in Atlanta, GA.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for the efficient operation of the department and for supporting the Company's emergency response and long-term mechanical performance monitoring program via representation of the department on the Reliability Board. 
Fleet Managers are responsible for managing the business measurements (metrics) of Maintenance at the fleet level and for coordinating the resources of Technical Support and Maintenance through the ORTs, addressing fleet performance problems and improvements in a systematic manner.

  • Recruit, train, supervise, assign tasks, plan and budget for the department
  • Provide the Technical Support disposition for ADs, SBs, SLs and other technical data.
  • Approve Engineering Authorizations.
  • Optimize total fleet performance in support of corporate safety, quality, reliability and financial objectives by representing their area on the fleet ORTs.
  • Develop effective work scopes for repetitive aircraft and ensure that corrective action is taken as necessary.
  • Day-to-day monitoring of the fleet for specific tail number performance issues, including repetitive aircraft, delays and cancellations.
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and assistance to maintenance personnel as required.
  • Develop maintenance specification changes and presenting changes to the Reliability Board for approval.
  • Perform the critical failure investigation process (GMM 7–2).
  • Act as a voting member of the ORT.
  • Act as the central Technical Support point-of-contact on reliability issues for assigned fleet(s).
  • Monitor product improvement initiatives and performance to plan and ensuring desired results are achieved.
  • Maintain an awareness of proposed changes (i.e., operational, configuration, maintenance program, regulatory) to assigned fleet(s) and ensure the impact on reliability is understood and given proper consideration before implementation.
  • Make recommendations to the Reliability Board of additions and/or deletions to the aircraft Maintenance and Inspection Program.
  • Participate in OEM conferences.
  • Assist Quality in reviewing and revising MEL/NEF Maintenance procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency and standardization.
  • Maintain a Correction Action Evaluation database (GMM 5-13).
  • Monitor compliance and assisting with coordination of modification programs and AD compliance.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the General Manager(s) - Technical Support.

 

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience with A&P License
  • Minimum five years experience with commercial aircraft maintenance
  • Two years experience of CRJ Aircraft type
  • Three years Supervisory or Management Experience
  • PC experience to include work processing & spreadsheets (MS Office preferred)
  • Software experience to include MSWord, Excel., Access, Project, and Visio
  • Excellent Statistics and Analytical Analysis skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi task
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Able to travel when needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.(Boxes and/or manuals), and walk throughout the maintenance facility which requires walking up and down stairs unassisted
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, audiogram and background check
