GSE / Facilities Mechanic

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a GSE / Facilities Mechanic for an opportunity in Goodyear, AZ.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

The GSE / Facilities Mechanic will help service and maintain, keeping in good order all Ground Service Equipment. As well as help with facility maintenance when required.

  • Operate and drive motorized and non-motorized equipment
  • Perform and show competence in preventive maintenance per established schedules on all ground support equipment.
  • Learn trouble-shooting and diagnostic assessment of ground support equipment as required.
  • Learn repairs and procedures to maintain all ground support equipment.
  • Remove malfunctioning ground support equipment from service and ensure GSE is not returned to service until malfunction has been properly diagnosed and repaired.
  • Own and demonstrate proper use of light hand tools.
  • Comply with all federal, provincial, municipal, airport authority and carrier security requirements.
  • Will retain a motor vehicle driver’s license for both air side / non airside in good standing at all times
  • Follow all safety guidelines set out by OSHA, EPA and management
  • Keep GSE shop and its equipment clean and serviceable at all times, report any and all deficiencies to management
  • Communicate with ramp management, customers and staff in a professional manner when needed

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Willing to learn gas powered ground support equipment maintenance
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good oral and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, twist, kneel, crouch and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as walk extended distances
  • Must be able to climb stairs, ladders and/service stands
  • Must have normal corrected hearing and vision
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and ability to drive company vehicles. The candidates driving record will be examined for violations; results of which could render candidate ineligible for position.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
