Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
Shift: M – F, 1st shift
Job Duties Responsibilities:
- Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs and maintenance on all equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
- Review and complete repairs identified on driver inspection reports and/or repair orders.
- Communicate with managers and drivers on issues with vehicles and determine preventative techniques to minimize future repairs.
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
- Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- The equivalent of a high school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of all maintenance and repair techniques.
- Able to hold and maintain a valid CDL license, preferred.
- Mechanical or trade school certification, preferred.
- Must have own steel toe boots.
- Must have own set of tools.
- Computer skills as required.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
