Quality Inspector
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Quality Inspector for an opportunity in Miami, FL.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide frequent accurate and candid reporting to the Director of Quality.
- Deal with colleagues, customers and vendors in a cordial, respectful and professional manner
- Input accurate and complete data into the QVA system
- Perform incoming, in process and final inspection of aerospace articles using approved data
- Performs FAI inspections and records data in accordance with AS9102
- Documents inspections/discrepancies by completing reports and logs for review by the Director of Quality
- Assists the Director of Quality performing internal quality audits of AEI’s overall quality system
- Issues corrective actions internally and to suppliers when trends are identified
- Assures inspection tools are calibrated before inspecting aerospace articles
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to apply for a repairman’s certificate
- Experience in using dimensional inspection tools e.g. mics calipers. Protractors, Radius gages
- Knowledge of special processes such as coatings, welding, heat treat and NDT
- Understands regulations of articles manufactured under part 21, including STC and PMA authorities
- Experience in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
