The Maintenance Tech I is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, preventative and daily maintenance requirements.

Essential Functions
- Complete machine and facility maintenance projects
- Execute preventative maintenance program for both machine and facility maintenance
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems and failures
- Help maintain corrective work order system for maintenance and facilities repairs
- Assist with the installation of new equipment
- Help manage inventories of necessary parts and supplies
- Coordinate the installation, repair and maintenance of the building’s interior electrical system
- Perform light construction projects
- Work closely with the Environmental, Health and Safety Coordinator to ensure a safe, clean and productive work environment for all employees
- Follow safety guidelines
- Keep work area neat and organized in accordance with 5S standards
- Help develop SOPs and work instructions for key maintenance processes
- Perform similar duties as required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years experience in maintenance or machine repair
- Working knowledge of machine electrical components (motors, controls, drives, and switches)
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Expertise using basic hand, power and specialized tools
- Excellent troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical/maintenance problems and resolve them quickly
- Ability to work flexible hours to meet immediate needs and long term goals
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel and crouch
- Experience maintaining fabrication equipment (mills, routers, punch presses CNCs)
- AS degree or Journeyman Electrician License
- Self Assessment/Management – Sets realistic self goals, has high level of initiation, completes work in a timely fashion and can work with minimal supervision.
