IT Business Architect
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking IT Business Architect for an opportunity in Nashville, TN.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
IT business architect performs a strategic role to make a business more agile and productive. The IT business architect’s job role is critical in structuring the business digital solutions with respect to governance, business processes, and business information. These duties include:
- Analyzing business and technical processes, as well as current and prospect digital solutions used in business areas to propose new implementations, corrections, and improvements.
- Representing and working closely with the business area to define requirements and business cases for technical solutions and processes.
- Partnering with business and technology teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.
- Planning and designing a business digital architecture strategy based on scrutinizing various business scenarios and motivations.
IT business architect aligns strategic goals with decisions regarding the organization, its products and services, partners, suppliers, capabilities, and the central business and IT initiatives. The roles and responsibilities include:
- Identifying strategic business goals that can be traced through the organization and be mapped for ongoing governance.
- Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.
- Working with other cross functional teams in Corporate IT, during projects development and configuration activities, to ensure impacts on business areas are evaluated and minimized.
- Assisting in the design and execution of test plans to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are implemented properly and meet business objectives.
- Acting as an IT liaison between Service Desk and Application Management to support issues corrections and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications and requirements:
Education:
- Prefer BS/BA Degree in an Information Technology Discipline or equivalent.
- Prefer PMI-BA or BA/PO certifications.
Experience:
- Prefer 2-4 years of experience with information systems and business processes.
- Prefer 2-4 years of experience managing digital product lifecycle and roadmap.
- Experience structuring and engaging in IT/digital medium projects. Medium projects are considered within the following: 1-2 areas engaged, U$20-50K investment, up to 200hrs implementation hours.
- Experience in managing digital portfolio management, including initiatives prioritization, business case development, budget management, execution, status communication to key stakeholders.
- Prefer capability to communicate in Portuguese to participate on global initiatives with company headquarters representatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Be customer oriented.
- Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices in their work assignments which typically are complex in nature.
- Excellent communication and presentation (O365 suite) skills, combined with a strong analytical/technical aptitude.
- Proactive on proposing solutions for the business.
- Strong collaboration skills to engage with colleagues, contributing to team objectives, and communicating effectively to achieve project success.
- Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure.
- Organized and detailed oriented.
- Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, process management, change management and advanced statistical techniques.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and statistical skills.
