Diesel Technician
Location: Newburgh, NY 
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday (Shop hours 6:00am–5:00pm; most techs start 7:00–7:30am)
Pay: $31–$36/hour
Overview

We’re hiring strong B-Level and A-Level Diesel Technicians with solid diagnostic capability (laptop diagnostics). You’ll work on a fleet primarily consisting of Volvo and Freightliner tractors with Detroit engines, plus some International units.

Common software/tools used: J-Pro, Detroit, Cummins Insite

What You’ll Do

• Diagnose, estimate, and repair tractor and trailer issues following standard operating procedures
• Complete routine rebuilds/replacements and make best-value, safety-first repair decisions
• Use ATA systems, published manuals, and online resources for repair procedures
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) including lube, filters, inspections, and safety checks
• Basic electrical repairs (starters, alternators, batteries)
• Tires: tread, inflation, rotation, wear, wheel reconditioning
• Replace/repair engine components, transmission & clutch (R&R), driveline components
• Remove and replace steering and chassis components

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience (A-Level requires 3 years minimum)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record 
• Own necessary basic tools
• Comfortable with Windows-based computer systems (preferred)
