General Machinist

We are currently looking to hire a full time machinist for our manufacturing facility in Addison, IL. This position pays up to 26.40 per hour to start and is on 1st shift.

We are looking for candidates that have any experience operating CNC Grinders as well as manual machines.

Summary  Sets up and operates basic machines.  Other duties may be assigned.

Reviews blueprints, job folders, job packets to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points on material or work piece as guides for subsequent machining.

Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.

Starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjusts machine controls or control media as required.

Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications.

Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

Verifies dimensions.

Tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.

Confers with Lead and senior departmental employees, or others to resolve machining assembly problems.
