Electrical Engineer
LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an opportunity in Baltimore, Maryland.
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Designs and Reviews electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for US Navy purposes
- Perform Electrical Analysis on Ship Systems (Fault Current Analysis, Harmonics Analysis, Electrical Stability Load Shedding Analysis, Electrical Plant Load Analysis” (EPLA) &Power One Line (POL) Review and Analysis.
- Review Designs IAW applied electrical standards, specifically IEEE 141, IEEE 45, MIL-STD-1399, MIL-S-16036
- Review and Drive Design of Navy Ship Power Distribution System including power generation (generator sizing) and distribution,
- Emergency power system design, Protection and verification (fault current calculations, breaker sizing), Shipboard cable application (IEEE 45, IEEE 1143), Grounding, bonding, insulation testing and, Shore power systems, UPS sizing and loading and AC/DC power and conversion.
- Candidate will Review and Drive Design of Lighting Systems and Overall Electrical Safety.
Qualifications and requirements:
- BS Degree desired but not required
