Director, International Line Maintenance

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a Director, International Line Maintenance for an opportunity in the US. Position can be located anywhere with access to a major airport.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the relationships with global line maintenance personnel and vendors
  • Ensure departmental safety assurance process.
  • Lead and maintain highly skilled line maintenance teams across the global network.
  • Lead departmental and Company continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage global Line Maintenance vendor contracts ensuring all budgetary targets are maintained
  • Manage and set direction for AS9001:2000, Lean and related standard work initiatives  
  • Ensure compliance to processes, controls and multinational regulations and authorities.
  • Ensure compliance to Asset Tracking and ERP/MRP Systems.
  • Drive internal and industry training to keep the technical teams efficient and effective.
  • Participate, and at times, lead cross functional teams to drive process and interface improvements.
  • Oversee customer reporting and develops meaningful and achievable metrics.
  • Work collectively with customers to ensure technical operation services exceed expectations.
  • Provide real-time communication and performance feedback and coaching to teams and managers.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

 

  • B.S./B.A. Aviation/Aerospace Business Management or equivalent.
  • Director of Maintenance or equivalent FAA/EASA regulatory experience preferred.
  • 10 years’ experience in commercial aviation performing and leading maintenance teams.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement in maintenance or repair environment.
  • Must have first-hand experience in process improvement methods (Lean) methodologies & practices. 
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Must have the skill, experience and resolve to drive service and operational excellence.
  • Able to lead in a fast paced environment across multiple projects.
  • Must be able and willing to travel domestic and internationally
  • Part 65 Airframe Certificate
  • US Passport or equivalent
  • Capable of obtaining AOA Airport Badges
